Dr Raeanne Miller, MSc PhD
Raeanne is a marine scientist with over 10 years of experience in industry-oriented research and knowledge exchange. While she specialises in coastal infrastructure and marine renewable energy research and development, Raeanne’s previous work includes a diversity of subjects including: deep-sea ecology, the Arctic’s role in global climate change, development of climate services, public engagement with science, and the relationship between natural landscapes, health and wellbeing. She is motivated by the need for sustainable development of the ‘blue’ economy, both in the Highlands and Islands and throughout the world, and is committed to working closely with industry, governments, researchers, and communities to achieve outcomes that are creative, impactful, and much more than the sum of their parts.
Raeanne joined Aquatera in 2021. She has a Ph.D. in marine science and an M.Sc. in oceanography. Before completing her M.Sc. and Ph.D., Raeanne specialised in business development for a London-based social enterprise focused on child health.
