Lars Havro, MSc BSc
Lars joined Aquatera in 2019 following the completion of his MSc in Marine Renewable Energy with ICIT, Heriot-Watt Orkney. Prior to undertaking his masters, he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Renewable Energy & the Build Environment from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Swansea.
Lars has an excellent understanding and keen interest in multiple facets of renewable energy, and a interdisciplinary skillset ranging from assessment of renewable energy potential, to optimising strategies for achieving efficient energy management of the built environment. He has volunteered to consult the maritime transport sector on business opportunities using hydrogen as a fuel source; conducted energy efficiency audits of building portfolios, and has also served in the Norwegian Armed Forces. He also has an in-depth knowledge of both the practical and theoretical aspects of tidal stream energy, and has conducted studies that ascertained optimal O&M cost reduction strategies, and forecasted extractable energy variation as a consequence of sea level rise.
