Consultant

Before joining Aquatera in April 2022, Emma was a research assistant at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) where she was involved in the spatial analysis and GIS visualisation of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) sequencing data for Northern Ireland. Emma has recently completed her PhD at QUB in the area of Geographical Information Science (GIS) and wind energy. Emma’s research was focused on the development of a spatial framework to provide decision-support for the designing of location-specific circular economy repurposing strategies for End-of-Life wind turbine blades. She is particularly interested in the use of GIS for sustainable management, climate change, suitability analysis and route optimisation. Emma currently provides support on Aquatera’s GIS team.
