Aquatera is growing it’s EIA team and we are looking for experienced, creative, visionary Environmental Consultants at a variety of levels to join our unique team of talent. Aquatera is not your average consultancy and working with us will not be your average job. We are a nimble, friendly, community-oriented company based in Orkney. We take on ambitious, pioneering, complex projects all over the world. Orkney is renowned as a global hub for innovation in renewable energy, hydrogen storage, low carbon planning, and marine services and operations. Aquatera was born out of this dynamic environment and has been working at its heart for over 20 years, attracting a team of talented staff and associates from around the world.

Working with us could have you simultaneously involved in a tidal energy demonstration project located in the stunning seas visible from our office window; and working with clients from South East Asia and South America to Europe and the UK, from tiny islands to whole nations on transitioning infrastructure to meet zero carbon targets. We are a skilled, hard-working, scientific team with the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the heart of our company. We view changing the world as serious business, and we value enjoyment and team work in all that we do.

Aquatera is seeking expert, senior and junior level environmental consultants with a strong background in Environmental Impact Assessment, Licencing, Consenting and a sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks. Integrity, diligence, rigour, and excellent report writing skills and environmental stewardship are essential characteristics and core skills.

We develop enduring relationships with our clients, who range from community organisations and developers to global companies and governments, often supporting them over many years. Your ability to forge and maintain robust relationships that last through long, complex projects is as vital as your technical expertise.

Collaboration is key to how we operate. As well as taking a lead in environmental projects, our consultants take an active role in supporting all elements of the business and in the promotion and sales of the organisation. Our culture is supportive, hard-working and creative.

If our culture, our mission and work inspire you and you feel you have the experience we need then please get in touch. We are based in Orkney, but remote working is also an option and we have staff based around the world.

Please apply by sending your CV and a comprehensive supporting statement outlining how your skills, knowledge and experience best fit with Aquatera to: gaynor.jones@aquatera.co.uk.
