Aquatera Celebrating 15 Years of Success

April 15th 2015

Established in 2000, Aquatera is celebrating 15 years in the marine renewables sector. Aquatera provides a modern and innovative suite of environmental services and products specialising in environmental impact. Aquatera, although increasingly an international company, has its base in the heart of the Orkney community. It has always championed the island way of life and has used the experiences of our community to build partnerships to complete projects around the globe.

Aquatera's mission is to promote rational use of resources, protection of the environment and sustainable communities through the provision of information, services and technology to industry, government, other agencies and the public. Based at the heart of the renewable energy industry, Aquatera's client base includes leading marine technology developers, testing facilities, utilities providers and local and national government agencies.

Aquatera is constantly looking for ways of improving the services it provides. This month the team has successfully achieved the internationally recognised industry quality standard ISO 9001 certification. Managing Director, Gareth Davies said, “We embarked on an internal project a little while ago to achieve a recognised quality standard.  Following months of hard work from a quality team within Aquatera I am absolutely delighted that we successfully passed the inspection process, apparently with flying colours.  It is a great credit to all involved and gives the company greater credibility in the marketplace. Most importantly it allows us to better serve our customers and improve the effectiveness of Aquatera as an organisation to work in and with.”
