Thibault Gras

Thibault Gras, MSc, MSc Eng (Diplome d’ingenieur)

Consultant

Thibault joined Aquatera in 2020 when he started supporting socio-economic and energy auditing work for Orkney, honing his data analysis skills. Since then he has trained himself to support greenhouse gas accounting for various projects and is now leading on the design of a decarbonisation tool for the Islanc Centre for Net Zero as part of Aquatera's role in the project. He also uses his understanding of photography to contribute to Aquatera's Visual Impact Assessment Work.

Thibault studied a broad range of engineering disciplines in Lille, France. Interested in Renewable energy and sustainability in general, he went on to pursue a joint MSc in Renewable Energy Development with Heriot Watt University along with his MSc in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology. The combination of degrees enabled him to get a multi-disciplinary understanding of sustainable energy systems, backed by a solid technical base.

His dissertation on circular economy and hydrogen production motivated the choice to stay in Orkney where he started to support Aquatera on technical and economic projects.
