Gordon has over 20 years' experience in environmental management in the UK and overseas. He has worked in a senior advisory role to corporate and operations management in the oil and gas industry during the exploration, development and production phases of multi-billion dollar oil and gas projects in Russia and Kazakhstan.

He has a successful track record of project management in ESIA, environmental monitoring, emergency planning and infrastructure development studies. In recent years such work has increasingly involved helping clients achieve compliance with the requirements of international lenders, e.g. IFC Performance Standards. He has a particular interest in long-term strategic planning, cumulative impact assessment and biodiversity conservation.
