As a result of previous renewable energy resource assessment projects, Aquatera now has a substantial database of data for the renewable energy resource, constraint, cost and potential development patterns for the whole of the Northern Isles, the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Oregon seaboard, and the UK and Irish coast and associated offshore marine areas and territories.

The dataset held by Aquatera covers energy regimes, cost factors, technical limiting factors and planning constraints. Aquatera intends to add additional datasets relating to socio-economic parameters, as well as factors associated with other industries, such as fish farming, oil and gas developments and fisheries activities.

These data can be used for, or as part of, specific specialist enquiries or for wider comprehensive assessments and studies.
