OpenHydro Group Ltd’s Open-Centre Turbine has recently become the first fully installed device at EMEC’s tidal energy test site. Aquatera has worked closely with OpenHydro throughout the preparation, installation and operational phases of its project. Services and/or products that Aquatera has provided to the company to date include: environmental statement (ES; including site-specific research), detailed installation and operation method statements, hazard identification and risk analysis (HIRA), global resource assessment, public information sheets, provision of marine superintendence and detailed bathymetry modelling.
