Ian Hutchison, BSc MSc

Ian joined Aquatera in 2006. He graduated from Napier University with a BSc (Hons) in Marine and Freshwater Biology and then completed an MSc in Renewable Energy Development at the Heriot-Watt International Centre for Island Technology (ICIT).

Ian has a particular interest in marine renewable energy and marine surveying. He has completed a number of Environmental Impact Assessments for devices being deployed at the EMEC test facility as well as contributing directly to the operational support and risk assessment work carried out for developers. He has recently coordinated a number of surveys within and around the Pentland Firth area focussing on marine renewable energy project and infrastructure development.
