Greg Blower, BEng MSc

Greg joined Aquatera in February 2010. Greg first graduated from The University of Birmingham with a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, before spending several years working in the upstream oil and gas exploration industry. He then went on to study an MSc in Energy at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh and completed his dissertation at the Orkney Campus (ICIT). Greg's dissertation focused on the intervention strategies of marine energy devices. Graduating with a distinction in September 2008, Greg then spent a year working within the moorings and subsea team at Pelamis Wave Power, before moving to Aquatera in 2010.

Greg has a good overview of renewable energy, and in particular marine renewables. His interests lie with the various barriers that currently hinder large scale adoption of renewable energy technologies.
