Gill Bishop, PhD

Gill joined Aquatera in May 2010, bringing 20 years of experience as an environmental advisor in the oil and gas industry. She has worked on all environmental aspects of exploration and production, concentrating particularly on environmental assessment and spill contingency planning within sensitive areas. Her earlier consultancy work focused on marine conservation-related projects. Gill has a PhD in Marine Reproductive Ecology and is familiar with much of the UK mainland and island coasts. She is passionate about long-term monitoring and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to understanding.
