|Eloi Droniou, MSc|
Eloi has worked in association with Aquatera since 2010. He provides specialised support in mooring, hydrodynamic and oceanographic studies for the marine renewable industry. This includes measurements of waves, current and wind, data analysis, numerical modelling of waves and current, numerical modelling of marine renewable devices and finally tank and field testing of marine renewable devices. Eloi likes to push the working envelope of our oceanographic instruments and offshore numerical modelling tools in order to meet the challenging conditions of the marine renewable industry. Eloi has 2 years experience at the European Marine Energy Centre as Oceanographer. Here he was responsible for the measurement and analysis of wave, current and wind data for the design and testing of the marine renewable devices going to EMEC.
Eloi also has 2 years experience as an Oceanographer/Hydrodynamicist at Scotrenewables. Here he built on his oceanographic expertise as well as developing his hydrodynamic skills for the design and testing of marine renewables devices. Eloi graduated from the MSc in Renewable Energy at the Heriot Watt Campus in Orkney in 2006, from the “Diplôme d’Ingénieur” of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (ENSTA) in Paris in 2006 and from an MSc in Applied Hydrodynamics at the University of Brest, France in 2005.
