David Runciman, BSc

David has worked in association with Aquatera since 2005. He provides specialised support in general environmental survey operations and environmental support for the Oil and Gas industry. This includes interpretation and review of environmental data, environmental survey design, laboratory service assessment and preparation of guidance documentation.

David has 15 years’ experience as a Senior Manager at Environmental and Resource Technologies (ERT). Here he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s analytical laboratories, overall quality management and corporate IT infrastructure. He established laboratories on Flotta, Orkney and in Baku, Azerbaijan, and became an expert in oil spill identification. David also has five years’ experience as an analytical chemist for the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA). After reading Chemistry at Napier University, in 1992 David became a Graduate of the Royal Society of Chemistry (First Class). He is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and holds Chartered Chemist status.
